1. Purpose
These terms govern the use of the Geodyssey mobile application, a geography quiz game published for iPhone and iPad. Downloading or using the app means you accept these terms.
2. Licence
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not decompile, disassemble, modify or redistribute the app, nor extract its data or content for reuse in another product.
3. Free version and advertising
The app is free and supported by advertising. Interstitial ads may appear between games. Ads are served by Google AdMob; the publisher does not control their content.
4. Optional subscription
An optional paid subscription removes advertising and unlocks additional practice features. The following applies:
- Purchases are made through your Apple account and billed by Apple.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You manage and cancel them in Settings ▸ [your name] ▸ Subscriptions on your device.
- Refund requests are handled by Apple under App Store terms.
5. Accuracy of content
Geographic data (borders, capitals, flags, populations, areas, languages, currencies) is provided for informational and educational purposes. Despite careful checking, it may contain errors or approximations, or may not reflect the most recent changes. Borders shown on the map do not represent any political position by the publisher. Please report any error to [email protected].
6. Availability
The app is provided “as is”. The publisher does not warrant that it will be error-free or continuously available, and reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue features, in particular as operating systems or third-party services evolve.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the publisher shall not be liable for indirect damages arising from use of the app. Mandatory consumer-protection rights that apply to you remain unaffected.
8. Intellectual property
The app, its name, visual identity, texts and code are protected by copyright. Map data is derived from open cartographic sources and flags are rendered using standard Unicode symbols.
9. Personal data
Data processing is described in the privacy policy, which forms an integral part of these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable resolution will be sought before any legal action.
